What we can talk about, off the clock
For anyone who wants to get to know me beyond the professional side, here are a few conversation starters for a virtual coffee.
Being able to laugh together matters most to me, without that it just doesn't work. Positive thinking and a healthy dose of optimism help with that, and so does talking nonsense every now and then. Just as important to me is listening to each other and being honest, and also giving each other some space when things get a bit too stressful.
Depending on what I need, that can be relaxing, exciting, creative, or social. I love sitting with a frothy coffee in front of a good PC game and losing myself in my imagination, or simply watching my fish and the plants moving quietly underwater. I'm just as happy at the stable, breathing in the smell of fresh stable air, going for a nice walk with the horse, or having a focused training day. Sometimes I get into a new craft project with all kinds of materials to plot or print, and of course I enjoy visits from family or friends with a shared activity and good conversation.
With a cup of coffee, especially the smell of freshly ground coffee beans. After that I usually take a quick look into the dining room to admire my own interior design ideas, before checking the status of my tasks, appointments, and open to-dos for the day.
As recently as early 2026, I worked a lot in Figma and used AI tools to generate prototypes. When many AI tools introduced token limits, though, I was more or less forced to rethink how I worked. Because of my background as a developer, I decided to try Claude directly inside Visual Studio Code. And I found that prototyping and designing directly in code is far cheaper and more reliable. Today I love this way of developing and designing, because it connects my earlier passion with my current one.
Deep, philosophical topics, horses and horsemanship, movies and series, and gaming with good storytelling.
